I am in middle of moving dear readers as well as changing careers, and I am sure all you readers realize how time consuming and painstaking a task that can be, mentally as well as physically. Hence, to give my full and undivided attention to more important matters at hand, I have decided to take a break from trading and this blog for the next one week.
Its been 8 months since I have started this blog and the blog has grown beyond my wildest imagination. Incidentally, this happens to be the 300th blog post. 300 blog posts in 8 months. Not too bad, even if I say so myself! I would like to thank you readers for your patronage, with a special thanks to all of those who have been around since January. I would like to believe, and the results show it, that I have become a better trader since I started this blog and hopefully this blog has played a small part in your improvement as traders too. However, I am certain I am nowhere close to being the best trader I can be, and shall continue in my endeavors to improve myself and hopefully, you readers will get some benefit along the way too. I leave you readers with what I feel are the best posts of the past 8 months.
Since I am making so many changes in my life, it seems apt that the blog should welcome any and all suggestions for improvement too. I welcome any suggestions from you readers. Somethings that you might want to see added in the blog, or somethings that you would like to see more of. Maybe you would like to see more educational features or maybe you would like to know more about my own experiences with trading or maybe more stock picks. No matter what it might be, I would love to hear from you readers and respond to each one of you. And of course, words of encouragement are always appreciated! ;)
I leave you readers with a few words from one of my favorite poems. I find these words highly meaningful and encouraging in the current state of flux that my life is in, and hopefully you readers would like them too.
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!
See you readers next Thursday. As always, take care and good luck!

Hi... I am curious, what industry are you in? Just asking based on your thought processes regarding the markets and outlooks.
Congrats on the new job, love the post.
Cheers.
I am a PhD in Engineering and am in academics. Until this weekend, that is :).
Thanks for reading!
Good luck with everything, looking forward to your new blog posts!
great posts. keeping coming..Your posts are helping me to be a better trader..still learning...
Good luck moving. I know how disruptive that can be! Just discovered ur blog a week or so ago and am really enjoying it. Thank you.
Congratulations! What exactly is your new job? BTW your posts are extremely intelligent and the best part about them is your open and honest about your success and failure, everyone could use more leadership like that. Thank you.
Thanks for the kind words guys! And we all are learning, and hopefully always will be. The day we stop learning, will be the day to call it quits.
Thanks Bill! And thanks for sharing your insights the past few weeks. A dialogue makes it much more fun! And if tell you about my plans for the future, I am sure you will not think of me as intelligent anymore :). Basically, giving up all I have worked so hard for the past few years (PhD, research) and taking some chances. Let's see how it turns out.
Congratulations... I'm relatively new here, and looking forward to what you have in the future. Thanks!
Awesome website. Hope you come back refreshed and renewed.
